Central Asia is a landlocked region with a high potential to serve as a crossroads of interconnection for other regions and countries, including China, Russia, Iran, the Caucasus and the Middle East.
The Central Asia Peering and Interconnection Forum is a two-day event for network engineers, peering coordinators, Internet providers, cloud administrators and data centre operators featuring meetings, presentations and networking sessions.
Participants and speakers will discuss core topics promoting peering and IXPs in Central Asia and neighbouring regions, such as legislative and regulatory issues, opportunities for regional and international connectivity, funding and resources for IXPs, hosting CDNs, and network security, stability and resilience, including MANRS and RPKI.
Special attention will be given to Internet measurement tools and instruments provided by different local and international stakeholders.
The Central Asia Peering and Interconnection Forum is organised in cooperation with the Internet Society and Euro-IX.
This will be a hybrid event, so you can participate onsite or online.
The event will be held in English and Russian. Live translation will be provided. RIPE NCC staff that speak Russian will be on-hand throughout the week. The local meeting host will also be available.
